While it has been a hectic week, it still was an amazing experience, covering the New York Fashion Week. Many of those I spoke with agreed that ready-to-wear fashion week is not what it used to be before and that NYFW, in particular, has lost the biggest part of its glamor and Fleur. Even I’ve noticed the difference: three years ago, when I was volunteering for one of the shows at Pier 59, there were no people in sneakers. This season, almost half of those people in front rows were wearing them (let’s be honest, nothing is fashionable about sneakers. Even if it’s Valentino). And, the tickets. OMG, do you remember times when fashion week was an industry only event? These times have passed, won’t be surprised if next year tickets will be available for all shows, not just a few of them. As someone said, “fashion week is like bad sex”: you spend three hours preparing for something that lasts about 7 minutes. And there are no gift bags anymore – or, which is worst, a bag with flat water and lipstick that makes you look like a corpse.
Anyways, we’re here to talk best looks – so here they go!
